Meet the Asian American Stories Youth Interns

Our 2026 youth interns, Sophia Tang and Milo Chew, share how their experience with Asian American Stories helped them develop skills in video production, social media promotion, public outreach, and community engagement. Through volunteering at the USA Asian Culture & Food Expo, they connected with community members, introduced people to our programs, and encouraged more young people to share their cultural stories.

We are now welcoming submissions for the 2027 Asian American Stories Video Contest, themed “Our Food, Our Stories.” Participants are invited to share the cultural meaning and personal history behind food traditions for a chance to win grants, including a $5,000 first prize.
